Could someone please describe what the face of a 1972 Chevelle AM/FM stereo 8 track looks like. I have a radio like this, but I'm not sure what year it is. It the face of the radio different for 70, 71 and 72? Your help is appreciated.

Well, you 5 pushbuttons ON TOP, below that is little door that looks like the radio dial with the am and fm numbers. This door "swings" back to let in the 8-track. It has a polished bezel of metal around it.
It also says "Chevrolet" above the tape dial door. There are two round indicators on each side of of dial just below the pushbuttons.
There should be blue paint overspray at the edges of the front plastic bezel.

Oh yeah, to add,
1970 units illuminate green, while '71-72 units illuminate light blue. That's why I mentioned the blue overspray in the above post.
