hi, does anyone know of any cheap ways to really beef up the suspension on my '70 chevelle, so I get a better, more consistent launch, and where I can get them? Thanks a lot

Bryan, Its been said many times over, the stock rear suspension is really quite good. I have a buddy that runs well into the 9's on stock rear supension, 1 air bag in the r/r, adjustable upper control arms, poly bushings in the lowers. Without air in the airbag the r/r squats and the l/f comes up off the track about a foot. With air both front wheels come up 8" or more. Check it out on my web site. The "whoop ass" 68 chevelle.

Try boxing your control arms, upper and lower. Add the braces that ran from the lower to upper arms, poly urethane bushings, rear sway bar, and an air bag. Good luck.

yeah, I get the rear sway bar and the bushings, but to tell you the truth, I have only a slight idea of what you mean by boxing the upper and lower control arms. I've heard of this done before, but I really don't have much of a clue about how to do this. Will someone please explain? Thanks.
