I have a cast crank from a 350/4bolt and the harmonic balancer threads are stripped, I was thinking I could 1) helicoil repair or 2) go to a 1/2" fine thread bolt. All suggestions are needed. thanks...........

Yep, sounds good. Either will work fine. I have done them both with no problems. If you goto 1/2" you don't have to buy the helicoil kit.
