What is the weight difference between a 396 and a 350 ?

I will guess around 150-200lbs. BB iron heads alone are around 75lbs each.

i believe a totally cast BBC weighs somewhere around 750LBs

I think it is closer to 685 pounds or so!!

I have posted a long engine weight list at one time if you want to look it up, I think over at team Camaro.. Somebody else made it up.

Or just plug in engine weights on yahoo.com.

I do know they say the big Cad. 500 is at like 625 lb.!!!!

And the big 455 Buick isn't much more....

A 1970 396/350hp weighs exactly 672 pounds (as of 2/17/03)This is without carb, headers, starter, a/c compressor, power steering pump, water pump, and valve covers.
