Would an 85 Monte Carlo column bolt into my 70 Chevelle? I am looking for a tilt column, that would retain a shift on column and would add the dimmer switch on the column (I have 1 leg, and it's stuck to the gas pedal most of the time http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif)

I can't find many GM A-Body columns around here (West Central Ohio), so I am considering newer columns. Anybody got any suggestions for bolt-ins?

DG;

If there isn't much selection in your local junk yards, you could try contacting "Ididit" and see what columns they have or can make up. You can get their phone number in any of the street rod magazines.

Ron Francis "wire works" also sells new columns.

I was looking for an inexpensive (aren't we all http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif) swap. I have seen Ididit adds, but who is Ron Francis? Got a phone number?

Anyways, like I said I was looking for a column locally.

In order to find "Ron Francis", look it up in a Street Rodder magazine. It may be listed as "wire works".

They sell "factory" columns.
