I have a 68 with a 70 307, and my temp light is acting funny lately. I have looked for the sender and cant find it. Maybe that is the problem, I dont have one. hehe. The manual that I looked in said it is in the left cylinder head, is that your left if you are sitting in the drivers seat, or the left if you are looking under the hood?

Normally left is considered from the driver's seat.

The temp sending unit is in the head on the drivers' side.

In 67 the sender was in the intake, in 68 the sender moved to the left head between 1 & 3 cylinders.

On my 66 the temp light is on whenever i turn the key can't get the stupid thing to stop and don't know where the wire is but on my block there is a gauge hooked up so i think the temp light was just ripped out and since it can't tell the engine temp it thinks it is over heating.
