Hey guys, i am getting ready to fire up my new 427. I am using the UD/Lunati 272/282 solid cam. Lash specs on the cam are .020 on the intakes and .022 on the exhaust. What should i lash it to cold on the first startup, a couple thousandths bigger? Any i need to do this while the lifter is on the base circle of the cam correct? Thanks a lot guys.

If you have iron heads, add .002 to the lash. This will put it close to right on when warm. So you'd want .022 int, .024 exh. If you have alum heads, you'd SUBTRACT about .003 or so. I can't remember the exact figure for alum, but you subtract lash on those and add for iron.
