On my 67' the evaporator assy. fit into a well that on the pass. side firewall. How do you seal this? I purchased the "A/C box seal kit from Year One, but The seal for this was not in the kit. What did you guy's use to seal this? Oh and by the way if you think that your A/C is not putting out enough air I would take the evaporator apart. Mine was full of leaves and debre that fall down thru the cowling grill. Thanks in advance!!!

The original seal was a thick molded rubber piece, like the weatherstrip around the doors. To the best of my knowledge, it is not reproduced by anybody. But it should be, because I believe all 64-67 A-body cars with AC need it. I built up the seal using "evaporator tape" from a regular parts store. It is thick gooey stuff meant for sealing around the freon lines, but it pretty well from making the other seal too. The only problem I see is that it will be a mess if I ever need to take it apart again. Note also that it is critical to get a good seal between the evaporator and the car body, or else you will get water leaks which lead to rusy floorpans... Good luck. --- Carl
