What is the difference in a 2 door and a 4 door frame on 67 chevelles and is there a difference in 66 and 67 2 door frames?Just curious,I have several frame extra.

I don't think there is any difference. El Caminos, Wagons and convertables had different frames but I think all the sedans and coups were the same. I had a 66 4 door hardtop. Now I have a 67 2 door hardtop. They look the same.

John:
I think if you measure the frames that you will find that the four door frames have a longer wheel base. The 68 is that way so the 67 is probably the same.

The 2-door cars have a 112" wheelbase, Monte Carlos, Grand Prix and 4-door cars have a 115" wheelbase and wagons have a 116" wheelbase. Leave it to GM to develop two frames that are within 1" of each other.

I don't have the specs in front of me, but I know that the wheelbase for 2-drs. was shortened in '68, so there are more variations in wb length in 68-72 than 64-67.
I'll check it later if no one posts the figures.
