Yesterday I was at a fellow's Chevelle shop and found out something about 66 hoods I didn't know before. These hood came in two different widths. He had 4 hoods there and 2 of them were about 3/8"-7/16" wider than the other two. He also had the front hood trim pieces and showed me the difference between them (these were GM pieces). It seems you can interchange the hoods but the gap to the fenders will be wider or narrower. The real incompatablity is the trim piece. BTW, the two 66's he had there had original hoods, one was wide and one narrow.

Are you sure one is not a repop. I have to wonder why they would produce two diff. sizes.
