Looking for suggestions and/or any advice on shorty headers for a '70 with 396 BBC. Just curious how some of the different brands fit. Since I want to go with the shorty style for ground clearance, I'm curious how the ceramic coated Hedman shortys fit. Thanks

DOn't have the shorties, but I do have the Hedman 1-3/4" Elite BBC coated headers. These fit perfect.

Have you looked at the Patriot Headers? They have been bought-out buy Pertronics, but orig-owners/designer came from Hooker,I just put a pair of Clipsters ( sorta a 3/4 length on a BB 69 Camaro I'm building, for ground clerance, they have the same thick flange as a Sanderson, reasonable prices, sold at Summit, or Pertronics Web site, I used the H3012, nice coating/and quality as well

I ran the Sanderson BB3's on my former 68 Elky w/BB & 700R4. They fit and looked great. Excellent ground clearance, too.

I'm thinking that if the Hedman full lengths fit nice, surely the shorty's would fit...

I'll also take a look at the Patriots and Sanderson headers since they sound like great options!
