I Was wondering, if anyone knows if you could get a 427 in the Chevelle in 67? I have a guy that claims his car is a factory 427 SS. I have bought numerous Chevelle and cross referance books and they do not show an engine number for a 427 in 67. However I did find fender 427 emblems for the 66-67 Chevelle, NADA Classic guide has a big addition for a 427 car made in 67. And I have a friend that swears he saw a 67 Chevelle in 67 with a 427 in it. So I am really confused. Thanks for your help

That is a question that has gone up and down
For as long as I can remember! Most say no to the 427 67 Chevelle. Look at the numbers.
Are you sure it's not a "NICKEY" car?

Glad you found that, Gene. I have tried to search the archives several times for that post but never could find it. I printed it years ago and put it with all my documents, but never could find it on this site again....until now!

For what its worth, I think it was a dealer swap out. Not from factory
