ther is a double roller timming chain on my big block,I removed it to get the cam out. Now a friend of mine says I have to replace it because I released the tension, I would understand it if there was a wear pattern problem. It looks fairly new and was tight
when I pulled it off.Should I just put one on anyway? Thanks

Your friend is, well, er, ah, innovative, let's call it.

You're fine to re-use it, no sweat there.

Try to avoid letting your "friend" work on your car. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Does your "friend" work for Cloyes by chance... you'll get warts by picking up a toad as well.
