When I bought my motor I didnt have a timing cover or oil pan so I dont know what size bolts to use for them. Can anyone tell me what thread size/length to use on the oil pan and timing cover. After I complete this I will paint my motor and hopefully install this weekend.
thanks,

Most stores sell the HELP products, they usually carry these in a package for each one.

The oil pan uses 2 different sizes and the timing covers bolts have star washers on them. They are 1/4-20 1/2" long and the four corners of the pan are 5/16-16 1/2" long. By the packages at local parts house or order from Summit. Do you know of someone with a core motor laying around that would part with the bolts?? Use the proper bolts it will look better and they're are difficult to get to after the engine is installed.
