I'm in the process of builing a 12 bolt C-clip posi for my 72 Chevelle. Only problem is that I don't know what kind of axles to buy. Any recommendations? I'm looking to spend under $300 (hopefully less). I want something that is better than stock and ones in which I don't hafta worry bout breaking. Thanks!

Moser, in the $225 range, Mark Williams in the $295 range. If you are going to all the trouble to change axles, loose the C-clips at the same time. If you do break an axle it won't tear up your quarters.

Someone posted a place that had axle kits for $205 including bealings and seals about a month or so ago. I'll look for it when I get home. I printed it out for such an occasion!

Two years ago I paid $258 (total with shipping) for a set of Moser 30 spline 12 bolt axles that were prepped for safety hubs (c-clip eliminators). Give em' a call at 219-726-6689. Nice group of guys.
