I'm going to buy new front inner fender wells for my '71 with money from Santa.
I've seen them advertised from $179 each
down to $99 each. Whats the difference?
Are the metal ones any better than plastic?
Is there any one manufacturer that's recomended. I'd really like to order them
soon but I have no idea who's better and why?
Anyone out there buy these recently?

....and many thanks to all of you for your helpful answers throughout the year. This site is a wonderful resource.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Thanks

I've previously purchased plastic inner fenders and was less than satisfied. I'm going to need another set and plan on giving the guys at Muscle Factory a call - they've always been easy to work with and have the metal inners for $99.

i bought and installed some of the metal iner-fenders. they fit good and look great. if there is a problem it's that they're a bit thin. i don't know what thickness they should be but these we're considerably thinner than the originals. once bolted in they gain strength and i have not had a problem with them. i've heard some horror stories about the plastic although some came from the factory with them. good luck. john..
