I just bought a used P/S setup for my 66 Chevelle big block, and I was wondering if it is possible to determine if it was originally from a 66 chevelle?
The Pump itself it painted blue, and has a rebuilt sticker on it from GM. The pump also has a double pulley, is this normal? Could someone please tell me the best source for buying the three hoses I will need?

Thank you,
Dan

To the best of my knowledge(not much)but I think BB 66 had the pump and resevoir separate. The res was mounted beside the radiator.Correct me if I'm wrong guys.

You are correct. The 66/67 (& 68?) had separate pump and reservoir.

I have the seperate reservoir, but I was curious, since the trucks back then used the same system. I am curious about the double pulley on the pump and also if anyone knows where I can get the hoses.

thanks,
Dan

I see that OPG has complete PS kits. Maybe you can buy just the hoses from them. Also, how much did you pay for the ps pump. I need one and am curious as to the going rate.

65-68 Big blocks had separate resevior. Trucks used the same setup. I don't know if you can tell the difference. One thing I can tell you is that there is a date code on the steering box cover. It will state the year and the day of the year it was made. I bought a box for my 67 that says 66 292.
