Well it finally happened to me. 350 with 991 heads that is a daily driver. Engine was rebuilt at 168,000 and it now has 203,000 but runs great(nickname is Trusty Rusty).

Started to hear a clicking coming home from a swap meet Saturday. Took it apart tonight and the number four cylinder intake valve rocker stud is pulled loose(up about 1/8"). I am trying to think of a fix without pulling the head.

I am thinking about pounding the stud back down then getting a long drill bit and drilling a hole for a roll pin.

Any better ideas? Any input is appreciated.

The easiest way is to have it drilled and pinned, as you said . It'll hold fine with a normal cam.

Don't know about the pounding part - maybe you could find a way to press it in.

I would do the roll pin thing too, I think for 16pins and the drill bit its like $10.

Stano,
The cheap and easy fix would be to drive it back down and pin it. The other possibility is that Pioeer makes a screw in stud that goes in place of the original. All you have to do is tap the hole to 7/16" Coarse thread and screw the stud in. This stud is not like the performance ones....it does not have a "nut" on the bottom. Its pretty easy to tap the hole straight because the tap follows the existing hole. I am not absolutely certain but I think the Pioneer number is RM348 If you need the number for certain, e-mail me and I will get it for you at the shop today.
Have fun,
