On a small block chevy, iron heads.
Is it best to just put them on dry? Or is there anytype of spray adhesive that you guys like to use? Or do you put anything around the water jackets?
Just looking at different install methods being used, smile.gif .

ON the 350 I built for my Camaro, I dusted them with silver spray paint because I read somewhere that it helped. On my wife's F150 I just got finished with I used Permatex spray copper because the instruction sheet in the gasket set said that if a 32 surface finish could not be obtained, use some adhesive.
I don't know if it made a difference in either case but I haven't had any problems so far.

Depends on the gasket. If its a steel shim, silver paint does work good. Any composition gasket should be installed per instructions that come with them. Noramlly CLEAN and DRY.

Dry is best with composition gaskets. If you haven't bought gaskets yet think about the Fel-Pro blues, they are the best I've ever used and have never failed me.
