Switching over to a xs268 solid cam- 230/236@.050 .488/501 Lift in my 355. Valve springs have about 110 on the seat and 310 open. What do I need to look for in pushrods? Will I be okay with the hardneded $40 Comp ones, or do I need the $100 ones, or are they overkill? Just trying to see if this is an okay place to save a little bit of cash. I have world s/r heads with the stock type guide holes in the heads if that matters. Thanks for the help.

Also, I am switching to this cam from a 203/212@.050 hydraulic cam. I have heard with solid lifters I will most likely need longer pushrods? Is this correct? I will check the length regardless but I'm just curious if I should be expecting to change them.

Grumpy Jenkins was asked about his choice of pushrods once. He said "If they roll straight on a flat bench, I'll use 'em!"
