Charlie, Is the switch to electric fans to improve performance at the strip or will you be using this car in slow heavy traffic? With a big 454, this makes a big difference.

I would recommend the 'Black Magic' electric fan by Flex-A-Lite. We use it on our 400+ horse 383 small block. It is rated at 2,800 cfm and costs $177.00 thru Summit or Jeg's. It really pulls more air than any other electric fan I have ever seen in use. It is also thermostatically controlled.

Here in Houston during the long summer scorching season (110+ degrees), this fan keeps my Malibu at 185 while cruising and 195-200 in stop and go traffic. I also use a Griffin two row (1 inch per) aluminum radiator. Hope it keeps you cool!
