I've got a 396 out of a 69' truck that I want to drop in my 68'. The oil pan on it now is the type that has two humps on it, looks kinda like stairs when you turn it upside down. A couple of people have told me that these won't fit on my chevelle, but some catalogs that i've looked through show the same pan and say they'll fit 64-whatever car or truck. Anybody know for sure, i'd hate to be dropping me engine in and find out the pan won't clear. Thanks a lot,

Will not fit. Had the same pan on a 396 from an impala. I guarantee you it will not fit, and you will have a headache. It took me a whole day to figure this out :mad:

alright, thanks for the input. I found a pan from summit (SUM-G3510X) that looks like the one i'm after.
