I have a 69ss that had those half chrome covers.I have seen them on 64 and 65 model chevelle's was this an option or just a add on

They were banned here in Ontario Canada back around 1970. All that means is they stopped selling them. I have never heard of anyone actually coming to grief with the law, though. Today I see an awful lot of those tinted headlight covers, the modern equivalent, in use. | ||
