I'm having heating issues and my headers started to glow so the car is to lean. This happened upon the installation of afr 195 heads. My question is how do you know which jets are the right ones. I mean sure it will cool off and run but there is a fine line between just right and too rich? I have 68 jets right now and am going up to 73 or 74 on the primary and leaving the 80s on the secondaries. Any suggestions?

If the engine was over heating I would say you were lean on jetting,but if the exhaust is glowing red I would say you are to rich,raw fuel burning in the pipes would cause them to glow.

I'd double check the timing too, might be retarded.

And the plugs to get a read on color. What carb? size?

Dont exhaust leaks cause the pipes to glow?
