What type of oil and what grade of oil are you guys using in your 502's?

I have just used regular 10 w30 on mine and it runs fine.

The oil cap on my 454HO said 5w-30, so I would imagine its the same for a crate 502.

we tell the dealers "whatever is appropriate for your location.... SoCal in the summer is going to be different than new york in the autumn"... 5w / 10w -30 would be good all around use though if using mineral based oil.... don't break it in using synthetic but you can go synthetic after break in..... i would go a little heavier on synthetic myself

The specs on my 350 ZZ4 (355hp)& (395hp) said in most cases use 10w-30 for synthetic use 5w-30.
