I did a search, it looks like i should go with either hedmans shorties or full length? are the full length worth the effort to install? Im doing my whole exhaust system over with summuts force 2 system. Any suggestions on which header to use - any part numbers if possible? 66 chevelle with a 69BB. Im just looking for a boost in HP.
thanks

I contacted hedmann about their BB shorty headers. They said they will NOT fit 64-67 Chevelles without mods (dents?)...

Heddman pn 68196 fit perfectly on my 66 with no problems. They tuck up real close under the car to the point where you can not see them from the side and you do not have worry with speed bumps.

Frank,
Bill hit it right on! Put a set of those on my 67 - no sweat! I was amazed at how easy they were, after reading some of the horror stories! I was happy to not need to use a hammer to install my coated headers!

I just looked up that part number, are there any concerns with ceramic coating? is it much more expansive, whats the equivalent painted style?

Frank,
I would recommend the coated headers, IMO, they are well worth the money. I say this having used painted, chromed, and polished stainless steel in the past. Coated are by far the better product. Spend the money, even if it hurts, you won't be sorry.

For painted headers the pn would be 68190
