How long can an engine sit complete on a stand before it requires attention before reinstalling? I pulled it to work on the engine compartment and repaint/dressup the engine, but it might be awhile longer than I expected until it goed back in. Thanks. graemlins/beers.gif

A long time! I would back off the valve adjustment if it will be for a real long time though, it will help the springs a bit. And, squirt some light oil in the cylinders. Also be sure to drain the crankcase as there will be acids in the oil if you have run it. I would leave a breather or oil cap off too so no condensation will form inside. Just lay a towel over it.

Make sure you pre-oil it before start up.
