Has anyone had any luck using an after market accelerator cable such as the Locar or a Morse? Maybe some one has a suggestion for me, I purchased a 69 with a new ZZ4 crate motor in it and the upper hole for the accelerator cable in the firewall has been distorted, any ideas from anyone on which cable I should order or how to get it to tay in the firewall hole good? Thanks guys (gals too).

I used a Lokar one on my '69.. It worked really well, but the hole in the firewall may need to be re-located, so that the cable doesn't scrape on the edge of the housing.... I can post a pic when I get home if needed..

I had to use a washer at the firewall with the Lokar cable, was installed easily.
I purchased GM p/n cable for 350 to 396 change, but was a little small for firewall hole. Manufactured stainless steel clip, riveted to firewall with correct size square hole for cable.

well I had the same prob, my cable hole was bunged up bad. found a 69 in a local salvage yard with a good firewall. cut the portion out, and migged it in to mine. a bit labor intensive, but it looks great, and works fine. Beats having to cob it together to make it work, IMO
