I need to tell some automatic trannys apart my friend with the 65 SS is getting a 350 rebuilt into a 383 and needs a new trans. He wants to get a TH-350 at a junkyard and take it to The Toy Shop over in Pomona and get it race prepped and rebuilt.I remember back in the old tech there was a discussion on this and someone pointed to a website anyone have the link? I know the pans are shaped like a square, a square with the corner cut off, and the last shape kinda looks like Texas. Does anyone know which of these pans goes with powerglides, TH-350's, and TH-400's? I'm thinking powerglide=square, TH-350=corner cut, and TH-400=Texas? Any help would be appreciated we want to hit up the junkyard during X-Mas vacation.
