: Electronic Ignition in a 69 Chevelle Big Block? Woj Aug 31st, 99, 7:26 PM I am trying to find out if a GM Electronic ignition distributor will fit in a 69 Chevelle with a Big Block without hitting the fire wall. Phil DZAUTO Sep 2nd, 99, 4:47 PM For stock appearance and electronic ignition, use a stock, vacuum advance, point type dist and add a PerTronix conversion unit plus a hi output coil such as an MSD Blaster 2 or PerTronix Flame Thrower--40,000 volts. It's all TOTALLY contained inside the dist cap and takes up less space than an HEI. But don't misunderstand me, the HEI is a great dist. ------------------ Tom Parsons | ||
