Is there any way to determine the valve size from casting #, etc?

they are early '66 SBC heads, #3782461, date L 35 5

There were a total of 3 seperate casting runs with that number one ended with X. Two were produced between 64-67 one with 2.02/1.6 the other 1.94/1.5. Unfortunately the only sure way is to measure the valves litreally or visually (for the experienced). There are a number of great sites for decoding SBC/BBC parts ie. MorTech.com & Second Gen Camaro Owners Group to name but a couple. Hope this helps.
