Has anybody used this stuff? Will it cool down a daily driver stuck in traffic?

I've used it! Here in las Vegas every bit helps and it helps. However first make sure you don't have another problem with your cooling system.

My dad used it and said his temp dropped 10°. Of course the recomend using it with straight water instead of anti-freeze witch will drop your temp a few degrees. (Don't try to run straight water without rust-inhibitors or you will have one rusty block and heads).

What is this product - tell me more. The name makes it sound like a surfactant of some kind - lower surface tension.

like said above about using water. I used it with 50/50 mix of glycol antifreeze and my temp went up 4-7 degrees. I called the company and was told that the glycol was holding the extra heat that the water wetter was getting from the motor. So to use it with just water. But using just water will lower your temp anyways. Not sure what to think at this time. Maybe during non-freezing months use a water pump lubricant, rust inhibitors and just water. Sounds like it should lower temp.?

Water wetter is a (bla-bla-bla) glycol kinda the oppisite of anti freeze, wat it does is makes the coolant drops lay flatter against the internal steel or aluminum parts of your engine, to cover more square centimeters of hot steel with the same drop of water, raises boiling point considerably, caution dont use in wintertime cause it counter acts with anti freeze, this is the way it was xplained to me when I was having over heating problems with my Chevelle puller, did it work? maybe 1-2 degrees, what really helped was a new 5 core radiator, http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif L89SEDAN

you can get a similiar effect by running 1/3 antifreeze 2/3 water mix. still protects from rust and at least 10 degrees below freezing. water cools better than antifreeze.
