: Correct dist. for 66 396/325 BB66 Dec 19th, 98, 2:31 PM I have a distributor #1111109 Date code 5L1 (Nov 65). It is cast iron. The Chevrolet by the Numbers book says that this should be a aluminum unit. Were the 66 396/325 distributors aluminum or cast iron? Numbers book also says this should be an aluminum unit but it is cast. This car was built in dec. 65 and most parts have a cast date of nov. 65. Hope this helps. David. It would be stamped for the specific application when the distributor was built. | ||
