Well Ive been trying to get the engine in the new 69 I bought going ond It is not putting no fire to the distributer. It has fire on the +side of the coil,Ive put a new coil, points, condensor, cap, rotor, and adjusted the ignition switch. And when you turn the key on right before the engine turns ove you get a spark of fire and when you turn it back you get a spark but when the engine is turning over there is nothing coming from the coil.I dont understrand it.Like I say there is juice on the +side of the coil while its turning over though.I appreciate any and all comments.

sounds like it has a bad or missing connection down at the starter, the small stud on the outside of the solinoid goes to the coil to provide power while cranking

Maybe its easy. Coil wire good ?
And are we on a standard coil or electronic setup.

As a novice in this, I can only add that I've chased a few wires and cleaned up a lot of bad butt-splices to
achieve good ignition. BTW, where is the 'spark'
when you turn the key ?

Thanks for all the help guys.I finally found the problem, the darn condensor wire was grounding out on the distributor. We fixed that and I got to hear it run.I have to build the carb now:(
