GM Performance sells a kit that comes with the pan, pan gasket, dipstick, dipstick tube, and oil pump pickup. ANY GM dealer should be able to get you one or check out Scoggin Dickey or Jim Pace on the Internet. Hope this helps.

Just don't do use the Milodon pan which has had many problems with people's tie rod ends banging into the front end of the pan(I forget the part number). I was wary of the GM pan for A-bodies because I think it only holds 5 quarts and I wanted more than that. Headers..........that's a whole 'nuther issue. Well, it's up to you.

To offer header suggestions you should let us know what heads, tranny, starter type, and if you have any suspension mods. I went with Hooker's with 2 inch tubes and had no tough issues with a 2004R, GM mini starter, 2 inch dropped spindles and Edelbrock raised port aluminum heads.
I will say I would be happier with about another 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch header clearance! I can't even imagine how they would drag without the raised ports and I have already "dinged" two tubes.

Edd,
On my '68 w/ZZ502/502, I used the Moroso GEN VI pan (don't recall the part number) Moroso pickup brazed to stock oil pump. For headers, I used Sanderson full length 1 7/8" primary (part number C7 I believe ?) and had them install the correct header flange for the GEN VI engines. Had to "ding" a tube on each side :( to clear everything. The ground clearance is VERY NICE. graemlins/thumbsup.gif The header collectors sit 2 1/2" below the frame on each side :D . Overall - nice quality headers.

Yeah, the Sanderson C7's are what I'm running on my '71 with the Gen VI flange. I didn't have to do any "dinging", but, damn, those headers cost me a fortune!
