I bought a complete running 1973 454 w/049 heads and a TH400 for $550
A bare block might be in the $200-$300 neighborhood these days depending on what part of the country you're in and who you "know"

It's a longblock. Block numbers are 3999289. I'll post the head numbers as soon as I get home.
