I have a twelve bolt rear end with the number 3875745 cast in the pumpkin. Does anyone have any info on this number, like the year and type of car it came out of?

Look around on the pumpkin for a date code cast in. Letter with three numbers, maybe on a gusset, might be down in and greased over. Also on the pass. side axle tube you sometimes can read a stamped in set of numbers that will really pin it down. Casting numbers will get you in the general year or run, if the numbers are available in a book, but I've never seen them. tom

The only other numbers on the pumpkin are F10 8, the numbers on the axle tube are C10620B. Is this what you need?

Could the 1 be an I , if so, it's a 3.73 Posi, they used the same code from ' 65 up to 69.The F 10 8 is the date code, June 10, 1968.Have you pulled the cover yet to look inside?
