Kill, (Name ???? )
Do you already have a set of rods ? If so, have your machine shop redo them. I have seen too many of the "cheap" sets of rods that were so mismatched, weight wise, that it was pitiful. If you dont have a set, I am almost certain I have a set I could do for you. I will look on Wednesday.
Hope this helps,

Bill,
Wouldn't a cheap set of, "balanced" reworked, stock 305 rods do fine in a 283 nowaday's since the old 283 rods are probably long gone??

Pdq,
The 283 used a small journal crank, the 305 rods will not work. Josh, we were pretty busy on Xmas eve, and I did not have a chance to look, but I am almost certain I have a couple of sets. Will let you know on Monday for sure. By the way, are your rods junk ??
