Is it possible to remove oil pan on a 1966 chevelle without removing engine? Can pan gasket be replaced without removing engine??

Its much easier to remove the engine, otherwise you're gonna have to raise it quite a bit and there's always the chance it may leak again. Where's it leaking at?

It is not leaking. I removed the front couple of bolts to remove timing chain cover and I am wondering if I will have a leak when I put it all back together.

You will need to trim at an angle that lip on the timing chain cover that goes into the pan, just use a generous amount of silicone, but not too much that it will fall into the pan.
