Will 1969 Chevelle with 350 engine frame mounts work for 396 BB and are engine mounts the same from 350 to 396 or do I need to purchase for this conversion? What do I need to do?

These are the BB mounts used on my GTO.

RWS from Waco (or whatever your name is),
For the 68-72 cars, there are two different frame brackets for V-8 engines. The 307 brackets are TALLER and WIDER than the 350-454 brackets. WHY???? I have no clue (and neither does anyone else)!!!
Those illustrated by Andrew appear to be the correct frame brackets for the 350-454 rubber engine mounts. If you try to use a BB rubber mount on a 307 frame bracket, it won't go down over it. As I understand, there are some aftermarket mounts which are wide enough to fit over the 307 brackets, but I have no personal experience with them. But the stock type, replacement BB mounts from the local parts store (such as NAPA) won't fit the 307 brackets. Thus, if you already have the 350 frame brackets, you should be good to go with BB rubber mounts.

In my '67 I took out the 283 and dropped in a 396 using solid mounts.
