I have a 1974 454(T0813CXA) that needs a new carb and intake. I was thinking about getting an Edelbrock Quadrajet 4MV but am not sure which manifold to match up with it.
Current cam is a comp cam high energy 268H-10 w/ .485" int. and exh. lift and 218 degrees @ .050". Heads are open chamber oval port, 118 cc (336781). I am most interested in fuel mileage and low end torque as this will be a street car. I will probably eventually put on new heads as well. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Are there any compatibility issues to look out for like adapter plates for the carb or vaccum lines? Any clearance issues with a stock SS cowl hood?
