Hey you Big Block Guys,
what is a normal operating pressure for a 454.

Normal at idle?

Normal at half throttle?

Thanks in advance graemlins/clonk.gif

Not a 454, but I have a 396 thats .040" over. Right now with the colder temps in Idaho its been about 60lbs cold, 30-40 idling and about 40-50 going down the road.

During the summer, or atleast warmer days its about 40-50lbs cold, and 15-20 idling in gear at a stop light.

i was running about 45 idle and between 55-75 half throttle, i just need to know where its supposed to be. Thanks for the input. Also, this is a new motor. So will that effect it?

Looks excellent to me graemlins/thumbsup.gif
On the safe end the old rule of 10# per 1000 RPM is still a good safe one ;)
