I am going to try and make a crossmember for my 65 rather than adapt my old one to the 6 speed. Here are my questions...

1)What materials should I use? I was thinking box stock steel

2)What size should I use, 2" box? 3". What will give me the strength I need?

Any other suggestions, problems, comments you have please hit me with them.

Thanks,

Dave

2" by 3/16 (.190) would be enough. Assumbly this is not a Race Car. I think the stock crossmember in my 68 was 1/8 wall

I called TD, they have a kit. I guess it is just not listed. He gave me the dimensions, I am going to see if I can use it. They have 2 kits available, just need to get under the car and see
