Thanks for your note. I'll try your suggestion and thanks for reminding me about the lite. I would have left it hanging. I can't help wonder why a wire to the junction block would work because there is a wire from the junction box going to the horn relay. Wouldn't this be the same as connecting both wires to the horn relay? There are two lugs on the horn relay and they are both on the same piece of metal. Therefore it is like puting all wires under one screw.

There is some resistance along the length of the wire. I think the ammeter utilizes the slight voltage drop across the wire to measure the current.
