While looking at the owners manual in my 64'
El Camino I noticed that the dash in the picture said "Chevrolet"above the radio and mine has a directional vent,but my car does'nt and I don't think ever did have A/C. I have'nt looked to see where the vent connects to yet,but I will. Just Curious!

My 64 Elky says Chevrolet, no vent

My 64 is non-AC has no vent, a plumber in town has a 64 with AC has a vent.

I guess someone replaced the dash at some time,because I got the most bare bones 1964 El Camino. 194 straight-six,NO p/s,p/b,a/c,
back-up lights,glove box light,interior light,only one speed wipers,I could go on and on. It does have a Strong new 350/350TH
in it and it runs great!Thanks for the input!
