My car is missing the pod vacuum actuator for the cowl induction hood, and I was wondering if this is the same as the vacuum pods that are used in the 70-72 AC system? The AC pod looks like it will bolt right up to the Cowl Induction bracket, but I am not sure if it will properly lift the door. I have an extra AC unit lying around and I would be much happier to steal a vacuum actuator off of it than drop $50 on a new one from one of the parts suppliers. Also, if it is the same as the AC actuator, do you think a parts store would have it for like $20? Knowing GM, they still probably use the same piece in cars they manufacture today. Thanks!
