can a 69 style booster and master cyl. be installed on manual drum brake car ??? (while leaving the 4-wheel drums in place )? what will happen with the larger master cyl. bore ? what will the new power assist do ? will the brakes become super touchy ? or, super soft ? I'm assuming the rod will have to be moved on the brake pedal, too (to the power brakes position ) ...right ? thanks

Didn't you asked that question before on this thread (http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=331555)?

I've done it on my car (although it was power drum). I still maintain my statement: «I wouldn't go back to a 1" bore.»
what will happen with the larger master cyl. bore ?
It will make your pedal harder and more sensitive, but not «super» hard or «super» sensitive. Theoretically, the pedal will be 25% «harder» or, if you prefer, to get the same response with a 100 lb foot pressure on your «drum» m/c, you'll need a 125 lb foot pressure with the «disc» m/c.
what will the new power assist do ? will the brakes become super touchy ? or, super soft ?
I,m pretty sure the power assist is the same for drums or discs. Going from manual «small bore m/c» to power «big bore m/c», you probably will feel a «softer pedal» (but still getting the slightly more sensitive brakes)

Right.
