I have a 69 El Camino 350 with the original wiring harnesses under the hood. I am trying to correct previous owners mistakes and am having difficulty with one connection. The connector for the temperature sending unit pushes straight on. I cant find the correct sending unit anywhere(even wrecking yards). The units I find are either button types that the connector slips on from the side,or a flat 1 or 2 blade terminal that a different type of connector fits on. If you look at my connector it looks like it would push directly on a sending unit that has a terminal similar to a spark plug before you screw the little spark plug tip on. Help! Any info appreciated. Any ideas where I can get a correct one? Thanks, Scott!

Sounds like you have the 68 style pin #6400759
unit like this

Here is their main page.

Edit : That one above is for gauges..not panel light
If you have panel light I have seen the pin type in the restoration catalogs including our sponsor Ground up
