I have a question. I went to a local mechanic and asked if he could take my LT1 which is assembled on a stand(no radiator, no harness, no pcm) and check it out to make sure everything is performing ok before I drop it in the car. He told me that if I dont have the harness or pcm he could check out various things with out it running and without tearing it down. I was under the impression he had some type of cradle with a radiator and harness and would fire it to check it out. What could he possibly check without it running? He said $150 to do it. I will ask him to be more specific,as to what he is checking but I really dont want to look "dumb", as I really dont know much about the motor. Thanks

you could try going to John Spears at Speartech Fuel Injection Systems. He has a setup with a radiator, fuel cell, fuel pump, ECU, etc. on an engine stand for testing/running the LT1's that he sells.
