I have a 65 chevelle convertible with front and rear drum brakes. I've been looking at converting to power assist booster but would like to also go to a dual master cylinder instead of the single if possible. The only duals I see are for front disc brake conversions.
Does anyone know if there are brake boosters with dual masters that will separate my front and rear drum brakes? Piston size? Who carries them?
Any additional requirements needed?

Years ago I adapted a 67 Chevelle Master Cyl to my 65.
I even used the dist block from a 67.
The power booster will work as well.
U may have to readjust the slave rod from the brake pedal.

Brake lines, master, booster for a 67 model car and all will be good.
Changing to discs later on will require a different master and distribution valve.
Finding a distribution valve for the 67 may be a pricey and hard to locate, so you could probably just use an aftermarket valve fro Classic performance products.
I used a master and booster for a 72 Chevelle,
Brake lines for a 67 Chevelle with a big block (small block and big block lines are different).

Thanks for the input.
I see the 67 uses a 11" booster and the 65 uses a 9". If I use a 9", do you think the 67 master and lines still work?

Hmmm
Dunno
I would go ahead with the larger booster-----more assist.
I have a 7" booster on my 59 Elky----might as well not even have a booster.
(4-wheel disc and I am not happy at all about their performance)
Cannot use a larger booster. With the 454 in there, I only have about 1/2" clearance to the valve covers. (also have hydraulic clutch and the master for that is only 1/8" away from the booster)
Considering hydroboost for that car.
Not anticipating any issues at all with the 66 and the 72 parts.

I am worried the 11" won't have much clearance either. I wasn't sure if the mountings are all the same, both on firewall and mc to booster.

Same body from 64-67 as far as the firewall is concerned.
The larger booster will fit just fine--but it does take up a lot of room.
The 67 cars used the larger booster.
I'm not sure if the 67 booster mounts at an angle or not tho----have never bothered to look into it.
The 68+ boosters mount at an angle, and looks like there would be hood clearance issues, but there is no issue with the fit at all.
This is about the best pic I have on hand.
I may be able to get better pics next weekend when I go back to the body shop

Thanks, I appreciate all the help
I'll check out the mounts and will need to check into a different distribution block to separate the front and rear.
